Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Pocket Finance Manager (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. Who we are
Pocket Finance Manager is a personal finance manager and AI coaching app. It helps you track income and expenses, manage reminders, goals, loans, and budgets, and get optional AI-powered guidance about your money.
2. Information we collect
Account information
- Email address
- Name / display name (from Google Sign-In, if used)
- Profile photo URL (if provided by Google)
Finance data you enter
- Transactions, reminders, goals, loans, budgets
- Profile preferences (currency, onboarding focus)
AI chat
- Messages you send to Ask Pocket / the in-app AI coach
- A minimal finance snapshot built on our servers so the AI can answer
- Usage counts for daily AI limits
Purchases (when Premium is offered)
- Subscription / purchase status from Google Play or the App Store (we do not receive your full payment card details)
Technical information
- Auth session tokens and basic device/app info needed to run the service
- Local notification schedules on your device
We do not sell your personal data.
3. How we use your information
- Create and manage your account
- Sync and show your finance data
- Send local reminder notifications you configure
- Provide AI answers you request and enforce AI usage limits
- Support, improve the App, and meet store / legal requirements
4. How we store your information
Account and finance data are stored using Supabase (cloud database and authentication), over HTTPS, with authentication and database security rules so other users cannot read your private records. Reminder notifications are scheduled on your device.
5. Sign-in with Google
If you sign in with Google, Google provides basic profile information according to their permissions. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
6. AI provider
AI features use OpenAI, called only from our backend. When you use Ask Pocket, we send your question and minimal context needed to answer. See OpenAI’s Privacy Policy. Do not paste passwords, bank credentials, or OTP codes into chat.
7. Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We may share data only with service providers needed to run the App (e.g. Supabase, OpenAI, Google Play / Apple for subscriptions) or authorities if required by law.
8. Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove associated app data from our systems, subject to short technical backups or legal requirements. Store subscription records may remain with Google / Apple per their policies.
9. Your choices and rights
- Update profile information in the App
- Clear data via Settings where available
- Delete your account in Settings → Delete account
- Request deletion without the app via our account deletion page
10. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change when we do.
